ROCK CHALLENGE

4th place. One word, AMAZING! First year in premier and we got placed. I can't described the feeling. We went to Portsmouth hoping for the best and praying to get placed. We put so much hard work into our piece and we couldn't of given it any more than we did. Nerves and excitement built up towards the day but most of it was excitement. The nerves probably kicked in when we walked into the theatre where all the other teams were sitting. The atmosphere was not tense at all though, everyone was so excited and just happy to be there. Watching the other school rehearse did make us panic a bit but you have to think positive. Seeing everyone rehearse is always so good because it's good to know what you're up against. Getting ready is the scary part. The nerves really start to kick in then. Getting ready can be stressful but it's all part of the day really. Going up to the stage is the most nerve racking but exciting thing ever. While they were introducing us my heart was beating so fast. Once the music starts you get that adrenalin rush that keeps you going with all your effort the whole way through. I literally put everything into that dance. I knew it back to front, inside out. I made sure I finished every moment and my energy was 110%. It's a bit sad when it's all over because you know it's the last time you'll do it after doing it thousands of times though. Waiting for the results has to be the worst part of the day. It's been such a long day and everyone is tired but buzzing to find out where we came. When we came 4th place we raised the roof. Everyone was ecstatic and couldn't believe we came so high with it only being out first ever year. Rock Challenge has to be one of the highlights of my year.
